I have, recently, run into several business people who hired a web designer to build them a dynamic website for their business. What was interesting is that their websites, although they looked good, did not provide them with any leads and minimal page views. Exactly the questions that should be asked. The focus should be firmly on marketing outcomes, as this is the purpose of the exercise: how will the website help the business find customers, and how will it help the business keep customers.
